Why Should I Use Mulch At The End?

Mulch (organic material) is incredibly important for many reasons:
  • As it decomposes over time, it improves soil structure, (its ability to hold water and still drain).  This impacts plant viability and growth rate.
  • Mulch helps hold moisture, which means less irrigation.
  • Mulch helps keep the soil cool in summer and warm in winter.
  • Weeds are suppressed, or easily pulled from mulch.
  • Mulch protects the soil from erosion.
  • It gives a lovely finished look.
